"We humans have been so successful in spreading across the world and changing our habitat to suit ourselves that it is sometimes easy to forget that we are animals too. But how did we separate from the other great apes, and where did modern humans first evolve? ".....Think about it.
"The value systems of those with access to power and of those far removed from such access cannot be the same. The viewpoint of the privileged is unlike that of the underprivileged"- Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded the 1991 Nobel Peace Prize for her human rights work.
She became head of the Burmese National League for Democracy in 1988, opposing the military government of Myanmar (Burma) and has been under house arrest or imprisoned by the military government for her dissident work.
He was born with rare, multiple birth defects – a combination of crippling Pterygium Syndrome, a clubfoot, webbed fingers on both hands, and a cleft lip and palate. His legs would not straighten from the knee and he was forced to crawl or push himself in a wheelchair. While other kids played outside, Rudy sat and suffered. He was an eager little boy trapped in an imperfect body.
At age five, after 15 operations, he told his parents he wanted to move on; he would rather be a double amputee than continue to put up with what his life had become. He had both legs removed above the knee … and he's never looked back.
The loss of his legs marked the beginning of his life. When Rudy was eight years old, he told the world he would swim in the 2004 Paralympic Games. He was true to his word and brought home the Gold in the 200 Meter IM, while shattering the world record for his class.
Rudy continues to swim as a member of the U.S. Paralympic Elite Team. He’s completed numerous triathlons individually, and won several prestigious awards, including the Arete Courage in Sports Award and the Casey Martin Award from Nike. Through his example, Rudy has helped CAF raise more than $6 million to ensure his challenged peers have the same opportunities he did.
Rudy lives by a simple motto: A Brave Heart is a Powerful Weapon.

“Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do. I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”- Bruce Lee
“Why pay a dollar for a bookmark? Why not use the dollar for a bookmark?”
The people who attack the movie based on 'moral equivalence' are some of the same people who say diplomacy itself is an exercise in moral equivalence, and that war is the only answer. That the only way to fight terrorism is to dehumanize the terrorists by asking no questions about who they are and where they come from.
What I believe is, every act of terrorism requires a strong response, but we must also pay attention to the causes. That's why we have brains and the power to think passionately. Understanding does not require approval. Understanding is not the same as inaction. Understanding is a very muscular act. If I'm endorsing understanding and being attacked for that, then I am almost flattered. - Steven Spieldberg
Who's more evil then freakin' idiots?
"Cause your not quite evil enough. Your semi-evil, your quasi-evil, your the margarine of evil, your the diet coke of evil, just one calorie, not "evil" enough." - Dr. Evil.

“I learnt how people survived and how people had to submit because you need to eat and your family need to live, so I learned the meaning of power. In a sense that power comes out in the barrel of a gun and when the Japanese gun was not as big as the American gun they surrendered and the British came back." "Economically, there will be a shift to the Pacific from the Atlantic Ocean and you can already see that in the shipping volumes of Chinese ports.”- Lee Kuan Yew
"War on Terror"
"In this new century, freedom is once again assaulted by enemies determined to roll back generations of democratic progress. Once again, we're responding to a global campaign of fear with a global campaign of freedom. And once again, we will see freedom's victory."- G.Bush
"As I have said over and over again, war is about killing people. Killing people as we all know is regarded as a crime in any human society claiming to be civilised. Even if the killing is justified, it would still be wrong, it would still be a crime, it would still be murder. No one may take the law into his own hands and execute a person even if he is a murderer. That is how strongly we feel about taking someone’s life."-Dr. Mahathir.
"I believe that if I treat my mother well, then my children will treat me well and will treat their mother well."- Abd. Badawi
